Vortex Venom 3-15x44 FFP, 34mm Tube, EBR-7C MOA Reticle, Black, Riflescope
The Vortex Venom 3-15x44 FFP is a 34mm-tube riflescope with the EBR-7C MOA reticle and matching MOA adjustments. It combines a versatile magnification range with an exposed elevation turret, capped windage and the RevStop zero system. The configuration is suited to target and recreational rifle shooting where repeatable adjustments and a readable reference grid matter.
This black VEN-31501 version uses a non-illuminated reticle in the first focal plane. A 44mm objective and the XD optical system support a clear view, while the included throw lever provides a convenient way to change magnification. Appropriate 34mm rings or a compatible one-piece mount are selected separately.
Shop Venom 3-15x44 at BattleHawk Armory and choose the configuration that fits your setup.
34mm Tube and a Practical Magnification Range
The 34mm main tube determines the required ring size and provides room for the internal adjustment system. Select ring height around the rifle, objective clearance and a comfortable eye position; the tube diameter alone does not determine which mount will fit the complete setup.
At 3x, the wider view helps with finding a target and seeing its surroundings. Moving toward 15x allows a closer inspection of a smaller aiming area. Magnification is a viewing choice rather than a substitute for a stable rifle position or appropriate target contrast.
EBR-7C MOA Reticle in the First Focal Plane
A first-focal-plane reticle changes apparent size as magnification changes, while its angular measurements remain consistent relative to the target. The EBR-7C MOA references therefore retain their values throughout the zoom range. That consistency is useful when comparing target sizes and keeping an established MOA reference without returning to one designated magnification.
The reticle includes a fine central aiming reference and a graduated grid with windage reference dots below the center. These give the eye defined reference points across the sight picture. The pattern uses angular measurements rather than a fixed trajectory tied to one cartridge. Its non-illuminated design keeps the aiming pattern independent of battery power.
Matching MOA Turrets and RevStop
Both the reticle and turret system use minutes of angle. Each click represents 1/4 MOA, and one complete turret rotation provides 25 MOA. Matching measurement systems keeps the scale on the turret consistent with the reticle, avoiding an extra conversion between two different angular units.
The exposed elevation turret is accessible for adjustment, while a cap protects the windage control against unintended movement. The RevStop ring establishes a return reference after elevation adjustments. Maximum elevation travel is 124 MOA without RevStop installed and 47 MOA with the ring installed; maximum windage travel is 75 MOA.
Those travel figures describe the mechanical adjustment range, not a guaranteed usable distance. The actual available adjustment above a chosen zero also depends on how the optic and base are configured.
Optical Protection and Focus Controls
The XD optical system and fully multi-coated lenses support image clarity and contrast. ArmorTek exterior lens protection helps resist scratches, oil and dirt. The single-piece aluminum tube has a matte black anodized finish, while nitrogen purging and seals support fogproof and waterproof construction.
A fast-focus eyepiece adjusts reticle clarity for the eye. Side parallax adjustment extends from 10 yards to infinity. These controls serve different purposes: reticle focus addresses the aiming pattern, while parallax adjustment addresses the relationship between the target image and reticle at the selected distance.
Included Equipment
Included accessories are a sunshade, throw lever, lens covers, lens cloth, 2mm hex wrench and RevStop zero ring. The sunshade helps manage light entering the objective, while the covers and cloth support storage and lens care. Rings and a rifle mounting base are not included.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the MOA or MRAD version?
VEN-31501 uses the EBR-7C MOA reticle and 1/4 MOA turret adjustments.
What rings does it require?
The scope requires 34mm rings or a 34mm one-piece mount with suitable clearance for the rifle.
Does RevStop affect elevation travel?
Yes. The maximum elevation range is 47 MOA with RevStop installed, compared with 124 MOA without it.
Is the reticle illuminated?
No. The EBR-7C MOA reticle in this Venom configuration is non-illuminated.
