The United Gunworks UG-1 Alpha is a full-size double-stack 9mm pistol built around a 4.5-inch match-grade ported island barrel, ultra-low-mass slide and full-size steel frame. Built to order in Peoria, Arizona, the Alpha combines precision machining, hand fitting and function testing into a performance-focused full-size platform.

The UG-1 Alpha is manufactured from start to finish at United Gunworks' 60,000-square-foot facility in Peoria, Arizona. Frames, slides and operational components are machined, hand-fit, finished and function-checked under one roof. Each Alpha is cut and fitted to order, with a current lead time of 3–5 weeks.

The 4.5-inch match-grade ported island barrel is designed to help pull the muzzle down instead of allowing it to climb, while the ultra-low-mass slide is lightened to reduce reciprocating mass and shorten the return to zero. The combination creates the foundation for the Alpha's performance-oriented design.

A flat-face trigger provides a crisp 2–3 lb. break with a clean, repeatable reset. The full-size steel frame features an accessory rail machined into the dust cover for a weapon light, while the checkered grip provides a positive indexing surface. A flared magwell helps funnel the magazine during reloads.

The Alpha features a modular optic plate system with the slide cut for multiple optic footprints. The system incorporates an integrated co-witness rear sight. Plate kits and iron sights are sold separately.

This configuration features a Black PVD finish with Silver Accents, giving the UG-1 Alpha a distinctive two-tone appearance while retaining the same full-size performance platform.

The UG-1 Alpha uses a 4.5-inch match-grade ported island barrel designed to help control muzzle movement. Its ported configuration is intended to pull the muzzle down rather than allowing it to climb during firing.
