The Sons of Liberty Gun Works Mk1 Recce is a 5.56mm fighting rifle built on a billet receiver set, and this 16-inch chrome-lined configuration is available at Battlehawk Armory in black anodize. The medium-contour Recce barrel uses P3 three-groove polygonal rifling and a mid-length gas system with a conservative port, pairing chrome-lined 4150 steel with hard-use durability and sub-MOA capability on match ammunition. A HUXWRX muzzle device and .750-inch gas journal complete the barrel setup.

The 13.75-inch MK1 rail runs a continuous top Picatinny rail, seven-sided M-LOK, laser texturing, and an integrated cable channel, locked up with a vented titanium barrel nut and DriveLock interface to limit deflection. An NP3-coated bolt carrier group, Liberty charging handle, and Liberty two-stage trigger—4.5 pounds total, with a 2.5-pound first stage and a 2-pound second stage—keep the action smooth and the break predictable. A Badger ambidextrous safety, MK1 maritime bolt release, B5 grip, and Magpul DT-PR stock round out the controls, while the A5 receiver extension, A5H2 buffer, and stainless action spring lengthen the recoil cycle.
