Smith & Wesson Model 60 Chiefs Special, .357 Magnum, 3", 5rd, Stainless, Revolver

Smith & Wesson Model 60 Chiefs Special, .357 Magnum, 3", 5rd, Stainless, Revolver

The Smith & Wesson Model 60 3-inch Chiefs Special offers a five-shot .357 Magnum cylinder in an all-stainless J-Frame. The longer barrel gives this small-frame revolver a distinct profile, appealing to shooters who want traditional exposed-hammer operation and compact grip dimensions with additional barrel length.

This stainless configuration has a 3-inch barrel and a 5-round cylinder. The single-action/double-action action and stainless steel frame define its handling and construction. Select the exact barrel length and grip profile when comparing carrying accessories.

Three-inch stainless construction

A 3-inch barrel, stainless frame and stainless cylinder form the core of this Model 60. Overall length is 7.5 inches, with a weight of 23.6 ounces. These dimensions are useful when choosing a holster and comparing the revolver with shorter J-Frame configurations.

Traditional exposed-hammer action

The exposed hammer supports single-action/double-action operation. A five-round cylinder keeps the frame compact, while the synthetic grip offers a practical contact surface. The combination suits revolver shooters who prioritize the familiar mechanics and proportions of the Chiefs Special family.

Small frame with a longer barrel

The 3-inch barrel distinguishes this Model 60 from short-barreled carry variants. Its black front sight gives a defined aiming reference against the stainless metal. For accessories, match the exact barrel length and Model 60 dimensions rather than relying on the J-Frame family name alone.
