Smith & Wesson M&P FPC, 5.7x28mm, 16.25" Threaded, 22+1, Black, Folding Rifle

Smith & Wesson M&P FPC, 5.7x28mm, 16.25" Threaded, 22+1, Black, Folding Rifle

The Smith & Wesson M&P FPC 5.7x28mm combines a side-folding design with a 16.25-inch threaded barrel and three 22-round magazines. Its lightweight polymer frame, M&P-style grip and stock-mounted magazine storage make it a distinctive choice for shooters who want a compactly stored 5.7 carbine.

This black configuration has a 16.25-inch barrel and 22+1 capacity. The polymer frame and blowback semi-automatic action establish the platform. The stock, sights and accessory interfaces are described separately so you can match the rifle to your preferred setup.

16.25-inch threaded barrel

The 16.25-inch barrel is chambered in 5.7x28mm and uses 1/2x28 muzzle threads with a thread protector. The blowback-operated action and shoulder-stocked format give the FPC a carbine shooting layout. Any muzzle accessory must match the thread pitch, bore clearance and manufacturer compatibility requirements.

Side-folding storage profile

The horizontal folding mechanism reduces length from 30.375 inches to 16.375 inches. Because the design folds to the side, it preserves clearance for a top-mounted optic. The charging slide/handle also serves as a retainer in the folded position, giving the stored firearm a compact, organized profile.

Optics rail and M-LOK accessory slots

The handguard combines M-LOK slots with a Picatinny-style top rail. This provides separate interfaces for accessories and a compatible sighting system. A compatible sighting system is a separate selection. Match the optic or rail-mounted sights to the available mounting space and your intended use.

Magazine compatibility and stock storage

This version uses M&P5.7 magazines and ships with three 22-round magazines. The supplied magazine loading tool is a useful companion for preparing the magazines before a range session. Two slots in the fixed stock hold spare magazines, with a quick-release tab system for retention. A reversible magazine catch and flat-face trigger complete the familiar M&P-style contact points. Magazine compatibility remains caliber-specific.

Fixed stock and carbine fit

The fixed polymer stock has a 14.5-inch length of pull. That dimension is useful when comparing the FPC with an adjustable-stock rifle, because the folding mechanism changes storage size rather than the stock's length of pull. The cross-bolt manual safety is part of the factory controls.
