Level III Steel Body Armor Plates

Predator Armor Level III Plates are manufactured in the U.S. from ballistic-grade steel and processed using a proprietary heat-treating, quenching, and tempering method that produces an extra-hardened, impact-resistant plate. This process allows Predator Armor to offer a thinner, lighter plate without sacrificing protection, outperforming many ceramic and polymer alternatives in durability and longevity.

Each plate includes a durable, water-resistant base coating for corrosion resistance and extended service life (note: base coating does not mitigate fragmentation). For enhanced safety, an optional Kevlar-lined spall and fragmentation containment layer is available and strongly recommended if your carrier or armor setup does not already include anti-fragmentation protection.

All Predator Armor plates are independently tested and certified to NIJ 0101.06 standards by NTS-Chesapeake, an NIJ-approved testing facility accredited by NVLAP and A2LA (ISO 17025). In addition to stopping 7.62×51 NATO, these plates are tested to stop M193 and M855 from a 16" barrel.
