A 1x25 MRO SD with a Single 2 MOA Red Dot

The MRO SD uses a 25mm objective and an open viewing area to provide a straightforward unmagnified sight picture. Its single 2 MOA red dot offers a compact aiming reference without a surrounding circle. Infinite eye relief applies to the sight when used by itself, giving flexibility in eye position and suitable rail placement.

The MRO SD objective was reengineered for use with the Trijicon 3x magnifier. Pairing the two adds visible detail without changing the basic reticle design. The magnifier enlarges the scene and dot together; the aiming dot continues to come from the powered MRO SD.

3x Magnification with a Flip-to-Side Mount

The included magnifier provides a fixed 3x view when positioned behind the MRO SD. Its flip-to-side mount moves it out of the viewing path when an unmagnified view is preferred, and the quick-release attachment allows the magnifier assembly to be removed. A diopter adjustment helps match the magnified image to your visual focus.

The magnifier has a 21mm objective and 2.6 inches of eye relief. That defined eye distance is different from the sight's infinite eye relief, so the complete setup needs adequate rearward rail space and a suitable viewing position. The magnifier is an unpowered optical component and requires no separate battery.

Full Co-Witness Q-LOC Mounting

The MRO SD includes the AC32070 full co-witness quick-release mount with Trijicon Q-LOC technology. Its Picatinny interface connects the sight to a compatible rail. Full co-witness places compatible standard-height iron sights near the center of the viewing window; the actual relationship depends on the firearm, rail and iron-sight geometry.

The magnifier includes its own adjustable-height mount. Match its optical centerline to the full co-witness sight height and verify clearance around backup sights and other rail accessories. A quick-release mount is supplied for each optic, but the two mounts serve different components and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Manual Brightness and Long Battery Life

An ambidextrous dial controls eight illumination levels on the MRO SD: five daylight settings, one extra-bright setting and two levels for compatible night-vision equipment. Brightness remains under your control as lighting changes. The night-vision-compatible settings describe low dot brightness; the sight does not create a night-vision image.

One CR2032 lithium battery powers the red dot, with a rated 2.5 years of continuous operation at day setting 3. Actual runtime depends on brightness and operating conditions. The magnifier does not draw electrical power from the sight.

Sealed Construction for Outdoor Use

The MRO SD features a forged 7075-T6 aluminum housing and a waterproof rating of 100 feet. Its capless, recessed windage and elevation adjusters help reduce snagging and accidental contact, with 1/2 MOA adjustment increments and 70 MOA of total travel. The aluminum magnifier has its own waterproof rating of 33 feet. Those ratings apply to the individual components.
