The Knight's Armament M5 RAS (Rail Adapter System) is one of the most field-proven quad rail handguards in military history. Originally developed for the U.S. M16A4 service rifle, this rugged, non-free float handguard has seen widespread use in combat zones across the globe. Its drop-in design makes it a straightforward upgrade for AR-15 rifles with rifle-length gas systems, offering Mil-Spec durability without the need for permanent modifications. Constructed from high-strength aluminum and outfitted with full-length M1913 Picatinny rails, the KAC M5 provides rock-solid mounting points for lights, lasers, grips, and other mission-critical accessories. Unlike typical 2-piece rail systems, the M5 RAS features a barrel nut clamp and screw system that enhances stability and reduces movement under hard use. Three 11-rib KAC rail panels are included for added grip and heat protection.
