Standard buffer retainer pins make SCS installation and removal difficult and require storing the SCS loose. This redesigned pin allows easy SCS installation and removal while ensuring secure retention—the SCS will not drop unexpectedly from the lower receiver. SKU: JPSCS-BRP. Easy SCS Installation and Removal

Redesigned geometry allows the Silent Captured Spring to be installed and removed easily while maintaining secure retention in the lower receiver during use.

Compatibility

Compatible with JP Silent Captured Spring and conventional AR-15 buffer tubes. Not compatible with VMOS (Variable Mass Operating System) carriers—same limitation as standard mil-spec buffer retainer pins. Not compatible with buffer tubes that have a slotted lip feature designed to extend around the buffer retainer pin—the slotted feature may prevent the pin from fully presenting and will not retain the SCS. Not designed to retain a standard buffer assembly as reliably as a mil-spec buffer retainer.
