Proprietary steel with nitride coating for low wear and low friction. The 70° angle runs any standard pressure loads reliably but operates closer to the edge of the functional window with very low-pressure loads such as 130 or 150 Federal Syntech or similar light hand loads. More frequent cleaning is recommended when running the 70° with low-pressure loads. Compatible with H&K MP5 and MP5 clones that accept H&K lock pieces. Validate bolt gap after installation.

The 70° lock piece requires more force to open the action than the standard 80°—reduces felt recoil for competition use. Runs standard pressure loads reliably. Operates closer to the functional edge with very low-pressure loads—more frequent cleaning recommended in that configuration.
