Sig Sauer MCX 300 Blackout - 4-Position Tunable System The J.Bennett Designs Omega Valve Mod 2-L is the first tunable gas valve for the Sig Sauer MCX platform. Manufactured from 17-4 stainless steel via additive DMLS manufacturing and coated with advanced hexagonal boron nitride coating, the Omega Valve transforms suppressed MCX performance. This valve provides four gas positions instead of the original two, utilizes extended gas flow paths to slow cycling, and incorporates Parker Mountain Machine SCAR gas jet screws for excess gas venting. When dialed in correctly, the Omega Valve delivers softer recoil impulse, reduced at-ear sound signature when suppressed, and marginally reduced toxic gas exposure. Designed specifically for suppressed performance optimization. Compatible with Sig Sauer MCX Spear LT 300 Blackout rifles, specifically tested with 9-inch variant. Includes Omega Valve Mod 2-L, solid set screw (installed), and 2.5mm wrench.
4-Position Gas Adjustment
The Omega Valve indexes on the gas valve retaining pin rather than a ball detent within the gas block, enabling four distinct gas positions instead of the original two. This expanded adjustment range provides greater tuning capability for different ammunition types, suppressor configurations, and environmental conditions.
Extended Gas Flow Paths
Extended gas flow paths delay entry of gas into the expansion chamber of the valve, slowing the cycling speed of the rifle. This controlled gas flow reduces bolt velocity and port pressure, resulting in smoother operation and reduced wear on components during suppressed fire.
Parker Mountain Machine Gas Jet Screws
The Omega Valve utilizes Parker Mountain Machine SCAR gas jet screws, allowing the user to vent excess gas out of the front of the valve. This venting capability provides additional tuning beyond position adjustment, enabling fine-tuning of gas flow for specific suppressor and ammunition combinations. Micro Jet Screws are also available for even finer system tuning, particularly recommended for use with modern hybrid suppressor technology.
DMLS 17-4 Stainless Steel Construction
Manufactured via DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering) additive manufacturing from 17-4 stainless steel, the Omega Valve features complex internal geometries impossible to achieve through traditional machining. This manufacturing process creates precise gas flow channels while maintaining structural integrity under high-pressure gas operation.
Hexagonal Boron Nitride Coating
The advanced hexagonal boron nitride coating provides exceptional lubricity, high-temperature resistance, and corrosion protection. This coating reduces friction and carbon buildup while withstanding the extreme temperatures and corrosive gases encountered during suppressed firing.
Suppressed Performance Optimization
The Omega Valve is designed specifically to tune suppressed performance. When properly adjusted, users experience softer recoil impulse, less severe at-ear sound signature during suppressed fire, and marginally reduced exposure to toxic gas regardless of ammunition and suppressor selection. The valve proves particularly effective with modern hybrid suppressor technology.
Mod 2-L Long Version Compatibility
This Long version has been tested with Sig Sauer MCX Spear LT 300 Blackout rifles, specifically the 9-inch variant. May work with shorter barrels when using high back-pressure suppressors—users with shorter barrels should consider the Mod 2-S. May also work with 16-inch barrels, though this application is untested. Believed to fit Legacy (Gen 1) barrels.
Unsuppressed Performance Notes
The Omega Valve is designed to tune suppressed performance. Satisfactory results may be achievable in unsuppressed state with subsonic ammunition, though this is unpublished or untested. The weapon should cycle some unsuppressed subsonic ammunition, but lock-back is not guaranteed.
Hybrid Suppressor Considerations
Users running modern hybrid suppressor technology should consult the provided data table and consider Micro Jets for optimal tuning. With the CAT ODB suppressor in particular, users may need to consider the Apparition Instruments Nano mounting system to intentionally increase back pressure.
Enhanced Gas Ring Compatibility
For supreme reliability and additional tuning range, the Omega Valve is compatible with the JP Enterprises Enhanced Gas Ring (sold separately).
Manufacturing Variability
Due to additive manufacturing processes, not all valves print identically. Some units may require sanding or turning to fit within specification and may exhibit a more polished finish than others. This variation is normal for DMLS production. The J.Bennett Designs Omega Valve Mod 2-L delivers unprecedented tuning capability for suppressed Sig MCX rifles—transforming the shooting experience through precise gas regulation.
