J. Bennett Designs OMEGA Valve Mod 3 MCX Spear

The J. Bennett Designs OMEGA Valve Mod 3 is a tunable gas valve for large-frame SIG Sauer MCX Spear rifles, available now at Battlehawk Armory. Built for .308 / 7.62x51 and .277 SIG Fury / 6.8x51 Spear hosts, it is DMLS-printed from 17-4 stainless steel and finished with an advanced nano-composite coating and hexagonal boron nitride. The Mod 3 is the first tunable valve in this line made specifically for the large-frame Spear.

A redesigned indexing lug gives four gas positions instead of the factory two. Extended gas-flow paths delay gas into the expansion chamber to slow the cycle, and Position 4 uses a large tapered port to help unsuppressed function. Parker Mountain Machine SCAR-style gas jet screws--or JBD Micro Jet screws--vent excess gas out the front so the system can be tuned more finely. Tested configurations include 13-inch and 16-inch 7.62x51 and 6.8x51 / .277 Fury barrels.
