Bennett Designs OMEGA Valve Mod. 1 MKII is a 4-position tunable gas valve for the Sig MCX Virtus, Spear LT, and Rattler LT in 5.56 and 7.62×39. Designed to optimize suppressed performance—reduces recoil impulse, at-ear sound signature, and toxic gas exposure when shooting with a silencer. Indexes on the gas valve retaining pin for four gas positions (vs. two on OEM Sig valves). Redesigned indexing flange and aggressively textured knob for hand rotation—cartridge-sized holes in the knob allow tool-assisted rotation. Extended gas flow paths delay gas entry into the expansion chamber to slow cycling. Position 4 features a shortened slot for improved reliability unsuppressed and with high-flow suppressors. Utilizes Parker Mountain Machine SCAR gas jet screws for venting excess gas forward—JBD Micro Jet Screws also available for finer tuning. Coated in Armor Forge Nano Shield HLC for lubricity and heat mitigation. Glossy black finish. Compatible with: Sig MCX Virtus, Spear LT, Rattler LT (5.56 and 7.62×39). 4-Position Gas Adjustment

Indexes on the gas valve retaining pin for four distinct gas positions—double the adjustment range of OEM Sig valves. The four positions allow precise tuning for varied suppressor flow rates and ammunition types.

 

Redesigned Indexing and Knob

Redesigned indexing flange and aggressively textured knob enable hand rotation for position changes without tools. Cartridge-sized holes in the knob allow insertion of a cartridge, case, or tool for additional leverage when needed.

 

Extended Gas Flow Paths

Extended gas flow paths delay gas entry into the valve's expansion chamber—slows cycling for softer recoil impulse and reduced at-ear signature when suppressed. Position 4's shortened slot improves unsuppressed reliability and compatibility with high-flow-rate suppressors.

 

PMM SCAR Jet Screws

Utilizes Parker Mountain Machine SCAR gas jet screws to vent excess gas out of the valve's front. JBD Micro Jet Screws available separately for even finer system tuning.

 

Armor Forge Nano Shield HLC Coating

Armor Forge Nano Shield HLC coating provides supreme lubricity, heat mitigation, and a deep glossy black finish. The coating reduces friction during gas valve operation and withstands sustained suppressed firing temperatures.

 

MCX Compatibility

Compatible with Sig MCX Virtus, Spear LT, and Rattler LT in 5.56 and 7.62×39. May function in some late-generation Legacy MCX rifles near the Virtus transition. Not compatible with 5.5" 5.56 barrel or 300 BLK configurations. Gen. 1 Legacy MCX users should reference the OMEGA Valve Legacy line.

When properly tuned, delivers softer recoil impulse, reduced at-ear sound signature, and marginally reduced toxic gas exposure regardless of ammunition and suppressor selection. The J.
