Project “Eleanor” was born from a British Ministry of Defence special forces requirement for a lightweight close-quarters combat (CQB) optic capable of retaining the precision and magnification needed for longer-range engagements.

The requirement called for an optic that could bridge two very different roles: provide the speed and usability desired at close distances while still giving the shooter meaningful magnification and precision capability when the distance increases.

The result is the Vortex AMG Eleanor 1-10x24.

And this isn't simply another Vortex LPVO from the company's standard commercial lineup. Eleanor is a contract-oriented riflescope, and for now, the only way to get this optic from BattleHawk Armory is as part of this Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 S Upper Receiver Group package.

Vortex AMG “Eleanor” 1-10x24

Eleanor combines a wide 1-10x magnification range with a compact 24mm objective, 34mm main tube, MOA adjustments and the EBR-22L reticle.

At the bottom of its magnification range, the optic reflects the CQB requirements behind the original project. Turn it up and the 10x top end provides substantially greater magnification for observation, target identification and precision at distance.

It's that ability to cover both ends of the spectrum that makes Project Eleanor so interesting. Rather than designing another conventional LPVO, the project began with a specialized requirement: keep the optic lightweight and capable up close without sacrificing long-range precision.

For shooters interested in contract optics, unusual Vortex products or equipment developed around specialized military requirements, the Eleanor is the star of this package.

Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 S 11.5" Upper Receiver Group

The Eleanor is paired with an equally serious platform: the Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 S Upper Receiver Group.

Chambered in 5.56mm and built around an 11.5-inch barrel, the DDM4 V7 S provides a compact configuration that is a natural match for the philosophy behind the Eleanor optic.

The combination gives you a compact Daniel Defense upper while the 1-10x optic provides a remarkably broad magnification range in a single setup.

RPM Delta 34mm Cantilever Mount

Completing the package is an RPM Delta 34mm cantilever mount with a 1.50-inch mounting height.

The mount provides the proper interface for Eleanor's 34mm tube and means the package includes all three major components together:

This is more than a Daniel Defense upper with an LPVO mounted on it. The story starts with Eleanor.

Born from a British Ministry of Defence special forces requirement, the Vortex AMG Eleanor was created around the challenging concept of combining lightweight CQB capability with the magnification and precision necessary to reach farther.
