Whether you are looking to complete that custom modern sporting rifle build or improve the performance of your factory built AR, the Adams Arms Piston Kit is just the ticket upgrade. Unlike standard direct impingement gas systems, a piston driven system prevents fouling and carbon from venting and building up inside the receiver by expelling them forward and away from the shooter. This also assists the operator by stopping the uncomfortable side effect of being "gassed" or inhaling the emissions blown through the receiver, when firing suppressed. The Adams Arms Piston kit includes all necessary parts and hardware required for installation. Please note that some aftermarket hand guards and proprietary barrel nuts are not compatible with this kit. It is recommended to check with Adams Arms or hand guard manufacturer for compatibility.
